Millie's Library Releases Jeong Sora's New Work 'No One Will Know'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo Mideum] The reading platform Millie’s Library announced on the 27th that it will release the e-book of "No One Will Know," the new book by author Jeong Bora, who gained attention for being shortlisted for the Booker Prize with her novel "The Curse Rabbit."
"No One Will Know" is a collection of short stories carefully selected from nine early works (Tree, Hair, Mask, Gold, Water, Mountain, Rainy Day, Whistle, Nessun sapra) and one unpublished piece (Complete Happiness) among dozens of short stories Jeong Bora wrote over ten years ago while using the pen name Jeong Dokyeong.
Jeong Bora’s unique surreal and supernatural storytelling evokes an imagination as if scenes are unfolding right before the eyes. In the collection, the protagonist of "Tree" is drawn into the ground with an uncomfortable body and becomes a tree, while the characters in "Hair" live trapped inside a room due to hair sprouted from seed rain suddenly falling from the sky. The protagonist of "Mask" becomes addicted to the pleasure given by hallucinations.
Kim Taehyung, Head of Content Business at Millie’s Library, said, “We are honored to release the new book by Jeong Bora, who has been greatly loved for works such as 'The Curse Rabbit' and 'London Called Me.' Millie’s Library will introduce various hybrid genre works including horror, SF, thriller, and detective novels to offer readers a fresh reading experience.”
