Hwasun-gun Maintains Comprehensive Integrity Rating at Grade 3
Recognized for Efforts Toward Integrity
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Chunsu Kim] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 26th that it maintained the same Grade 3 in the 2022 Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation of Public Institutions conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission as last year.
This evaluation was conducted under a revamped evaluation system, reflecting the comprehensive integrity score calculated by combining integrity perception, integrity efforts, and corruption status.
The county received a score 6.5 points higher than the national average for county-level local governments (72.9) in the newly established evaluation category of integrity efforts.
The county implemented 24 integrity policies such as the 'Visiting Integrity Communication Room' and the 'Integrity Resolution Rally,' which appear to have contributed to the high evaluation of its integrity and anti-corruption efforts.
However, the integrity perception category received a score 3.2 points lower than the national average for county-level local governments (77.2), leaving some room for improvement.
The county scored 74.0 points in integrity perception and 79.6 points in integrity efforts, receiving Grade 4 and Grade 2 respectively, and achieved a comprehensive integrity score of 76.2 points with no deductions in the corruption status category, resulting in an overall Grade 3.
