Jinju City Council Spreads Warmth to Social Welfare Facilities for Seol Holiday
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Jinju City Council in Gyeongnam shared warm affection with local social welfare facilities in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday, urging citizens to join in neighborly love and also engaged in a shopping event to encourage the use of traditional markets.
Chairman Yang Hae-young, Vice Chairman Choi Se-yong, and the chairpersons of each standing committee of the Jinju City Council visited 13 social welfare facilities in the city, including the Pyeonggeo Comprehensive Social Welfare Center and Gongdeok House, on the morning of the 17th, delivering consolation goods worth approximately 12 million won consisting of daily necessities.
The chairpersons comforted the efforts of officials who do their best in disability welfare and other areas on site during this difficult time of economic downturn affecting society as a whole, and encouraged the facility users.

Then, all city council members were divided into two groups and visited Jungang Market and Jayu Market respectively. The council members directly purchased ritual items with Onnuri gift certificates and carried out a campaign to revitalize the use of traditional markets.
