Small and Medium Business Technology Information Promotion Agency Appoints New Non-Executive and Labor Directors

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (President Lee Jae-hong, hereinafter TIPA) announced on the 17th that it has appointed two new non-executive directors to lead institutional management innovation, enhance transparency, and drive private sector and field-centered technological innovation for SMEs.
New director Han Seon-hwa is a scholar in the field of computer science and has served as the president, head of the Information Technology Development Division, and director of the Advanced Information Research Institute at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information. New director Park Hee-woong is the first labor director appointed at TIPA. In August last year, TIPA revised regulations to introduce the labor director system. Director Park has handled tasks such as auditing, ethical management, research fund settlement and recovery, and management of research and development (R&D) projects at TIPA.
