Changwon Special City Conducts Safety Inspections of Tourist Facilities for Lunar New Year
Operation of Tourist Facilities such as Doksom and Munshin Art Museum during Lunar New Year Holiday
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam will conduct safety inspections on major cultural and tourist facilities in the city from the 16th to the 20th to respond to the leisure demands of visitors returning home and tourists during the Lunar New Year holiday and to create a safe tourism environment.
The city has formed a joint inspection team with Changwon Facilities Corporation, Changwon Cultural Foundation, and five district offices to prepare for any possible safety accidents during the Lunar New Year holiday.
In particular, the city focused on inspecting marine tourism facilities, which have relatively high safety concerns due to their proximity to the sea, such as Jeodo Kwaigang Bridge, Marine Drama Set, and Dolsom Island, and conducted safety accident prevention training for on-site staff.

View original imageAdditionally, the city maintained the environment of major cultural facilities such as the Moonshin Art Museum, Changwon Municipal Masan Museum, Ungcheon Kiln Site Exhibition Hall, and Changwon’s House, while also preparing exhibition and experience programs that families can enjoy during the holiday.
Jo Myung-rae, the second vice mayor, said, “We will do our best to maintain facility environments and conduct safety inspections so that visitors and tourists visiting Changwon during the Lunar New Year holiday can enjoy and comfortably tour Changwon.”

The tourist facilities operating normally during the holiday period, including Lunar New Year day, are ▲ Jeodo Kwaigang Bridge Skywalk ▲ Marine Drama Set ▲ Mageumsan Hot Springs ▲ Bongam Recreation Area ▲ Dolsom Island.
For tourists visiting Changwon during the holiday, the Moonshin Art Museum will continue special exhibitions such as “Geometry of Love.”
Changwon Municipal Masan Museum and Ungcheon Kiln Site Exhibition Hall will operate folk game experiences such as Yutnori, Jegichagi, and Tuho throwing.
At Jeodo Kwaigang Bridge, visitors can enjoy the newly installed media facade lighting from the 21st to the 24th, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. each evening.

The special city tour bus route that visits major marine tourist sites in Changwon will operate on the 21st and 24th. It departs from Meeting Square and stops at Masan Station, Jeodo Kwaigang Bridge, Marine Drama Set, and Gwisandong Cafe Street. Reservations must be made through the Changwon City Tour website by the day before boarding.
