Launched in August last year, Microsoft Launcher is a program designed to support the growth of Korean startups. Any software-based startup with an idea can apply, and selected startups receive benefits worth up to 500 million KRW, including Azure credits, licenses, technical support, as well as various learning and IR pitching opportunities.
Microsoft Korea conducted document and interview evaluations among the Microsoft Launcher program selectees and finalized the first cohort of coworking space resident startups. This includes six startups with fewer than 10 members: ▲ Metaverse avatar communication platform ‘Goodgang Labs’ ▲ Creator and brand growth quest platform ‘Darewalk’ ▲ AI-based 3D animation production software within browsers ‘Flask’ ▲ AI solutions in the medical field ‘Tesser’ ▲ eSIM-based global roaming platform ‘Gadget Korea’ ▲ Online business decision-making solution ‘Scomot’.
These startups will be able to use office space and other amenities at coworking spaces located in Seoul and Busan free of charge for the next six months. They will also receive various support from Microsoft Korea and the program’s technical support partners, Megazone Cloud and Cloukus. Recruitment for the second cohort of coworking space resident startups will begin in April.
Jung Woo-geun, Digital Native Team Leader at Microsoft Korea, stated, “Going forward, Microsoft Korea will leverage its accumulated experience to empower domestic startups’ innovation and global expansion.”
