Ssangyong Motor Holds '2023 Partners Day'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Ssangyong Motor announced on the 13th that it held the ‘2023 Partners Day’ to share the company’s management status and business vision in order to promote win-win cooperation and mutual growth with its partner companies.
The event, which was operated under the name ‘Cooperative Association General Meeting’ until last year, has been newly launched as a partner of the KG family companies. To achieve the common goal of mutual growth and to develop mutual respect and a horizontal relationship as partners who fulfill responsibilities to each other, it was decided to change the event to ‘Partners Day’.
At the Partners Day held on the 12th at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, Ssangyong Motor Chairman Kwak Jae-sun, CEO Jung Yong-won, President Eom Ki-min, newly appointed Partners Chairman Park Kyung-bae of Gyeonggi Industry, and representatives from over 200 partner companies attended. The event was divided into the 2023 Partners Day, a briefing session on Ssangyong Motor’s management status and mid-to-long-term development strategy, and a presentation of appreciation plaques to outstanding partner companies.
Through the management status briefing session, Ssangyong Motor shared the company’s current status, mid-to-long-term development strategies, and major product development plans with its partners, urging them to strive for perfect quality assurance, smooth parts supply, and cost competitiveness enhancement based on mutual trust for mutual growth.
In particular, despite the difficult situation due to Ssangyong Motor’s corporate rehabilitation process, a meaningful time was held to express deep gratitude and present appreciation plaques to the partner company representatives who provided generous support and cooperation for Ssangyong Motor’s recovery and management normalization.
Additionally, the partner companies pledged to fulfill their responsible roles so that Ssangyong Motor can stand firmly as a leading SUV brand equipped with survival capabilities by improving parts delivery, quality, and cost competitiveness.
