Incheon Yeonan Pier and Aamdaero Coastal Walkway to Open in July

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Coastal walking paths and other facilities have been created around Yeonan Pier in Jung-gu, Incheon, and the Aam-daero area in Namdong-gu, and will open in July.
The city announced on the 12th that it is carrying out a waterfront space development project so that citizens can enjoy leisure while appreciating the sea in front of Incheon more closely.
At Yeonan Pier's Yeonorang Lighthouse, the breakwater width will be expanded from the existing 1 meter to 3 meters, and a walking path and rest area will be installed in the middle to allow views of the Incheon Bridge and incoming and outgoing ships.
Around Gojan-dong Aam-daero, after demolishing a 1.5-meter-high breakwater wall and two military posts, a total 1.1 km walking path will be created, and one well-maintained post will be remodeled into a mudflat observatory.
Earlier, the city started the waterfront space development projects around Yeonan Pier and Aam-daero last month with a total project cost of about 2.1 billion KRW.

An Incheon city official stated, "We will steadily proceed with the waterfront project along the coastline, a pledge of the 8th elected administration, so that many citizens can enjoy the sea, a symbol of Incheon, more conveniently and closely."
