A man in his 20s arrested for filming next room using motel railing
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] A man in his 20s who secretly filmed the inside of a neighboring room using a motel railing was caught in the act.
The Gwangju Dongbu Police Station announced on the 11th that they have booked A (25) without detention on charges of trespassing and filming using a camera under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act.
A is suspected of filming a guest in the adjacent room through a window from the railing on the second floor of a motel in Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, around 4 a.m. on the 7th.
The police reported that no footage remained on A's mobile phone and other devices, believing it was deleted, and requested digital forensics.
The police confirmed that A is currently on probation due to previous similar offenses and will decide whether to apply for an arrest warrant once the digital forensic results are available.
