Virtual Influencer Company 'Innerbuzz' Receives 2.5 Billion Investment from HYBE and Others
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Virtual influencer production company 'Innerverse' announced on the 11th that it has secured a total investment of 2.5 billion KRW from HYBE, Laguna Investment, and Bluepoint. HYBE and Laguna Investment participated as new investors, while existing investor Bluepoint participated as a follow-up investor.
Innerverse utilizes deep learning-based video processing techniques to create virtual characters' faces and video content featuring virtual characters. The company focuses on enabling virtual characters to operate smoothly even in high-quality videos such as movies and music videos.
Jung-hyuk Lim, CEO of Innerverse, said, "To avoid disrupting the immersion of content viewers, it is necessary for creators and producers to fully maintain the intended concept and composition." He added, "We are focusing on a future where creators who want to produce completely new forms of content with virtual influencers can freely realize their dreams without restrictions."
Young-ho Park, CEO of Laguna Investment, explained the investment background, saying, "Innerverse stood out because it does not rely solely on open source but can produce dynamic character movements and natural expressions with high-quality characters even under various external environments."
