[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on the 11th that Director Kim Jin-yong, who is on a business trip to the United States to attract overseas investment, met with Mark Fuller, chairman of WET (Water Entertainment Technology), in Los Angeles on the 9th (local time) and signed a Letter of Cooperation (LOC).
WET, headquartered in Los Angeles, USA, possesses the world's leading technology in the field, having conceptually designed, manufactured, installed, and operated over 200 fountains worldwide, including the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas, and the fountains inside Singapore Changi Airport.
Following the signing of the LOC, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to install world-class special effect-enhanced music, lighting, and dancing fountains within the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ), aiming to revitalize the local economy by attracting domestic and international tourists and expanding waterfront spaces focused on leisure and healing.
On the same day, Director Kim also held meetings with executives from Company A, a global IP (intellectual property) holder headquartered in Los Angeles, to discuss discovering future cultural and tourism content for IFEZ on a different level.
Through this, the plan is to create a leisure tourism city centered on the MICE industry, where tourists from around the world visit, meet, interact, and enjoy, based on fostering an innovative growth industrial ecosystem and strengthening K-media content.
