A Glass Bottle Message Thrown into the Sea 10 Years Ago Returns After 47 Years
Sent into the sea during a 1985 trip to Florida, USA
Received after 37 years: "It's amazing to come back to me"
A letter that a boy had floated in a bottle at the beach has become a hot topic after returning to its owner 37 years later.
Recently, foreign media including the New York Post reported the story of Troy Heller, who traveled to Florida, USA in 1985 and found the letter he had put in a glass bottle and floated in the sea after 37 years. Heller was 10 years old when he floated the glass bottle letter.
Heller wrote his phone number and address on the letter and left a message saying, "If you find this, please call or write to me." He also included a photo of himself fishing.
Later, Heller, who had forgotten about the letter, recently received an unbelievable contact. Someone found the glass bottle on the coast and contacted Heller.
The people who found the glass bottle were the Anna Karmacs family, who happened to discover the bottle on a coast about 20 km away from Vero Beach, Florida. The Karmacs family opened the glass bottle and confirmed the photo and message Heller had put inside. Then, through an internet search, they found Heller's contact information and contacted him directly.
At first, Heller did not answer the call from an unknown number. However, the Karmacs family sent a text message saying, "We wonder if you are Troy Heller," along with a photo of the glass bottle, and Heller remembered that the bottle was his.
