GS Shop "80% Off Lunar New Year Gifts Under 100,000 Won... 2% Off Over 200,000 Won"
GS Shop's online mall announced on the 8th that the total number of purchases of Lunar New Year gift products increased while the average selling price decreased this year.
Analyzing sales data from the 'Great Seol' event operated by GS Shop from January 28 to February 6, the total number of purchases increased by about 15% compared to last year's Lunar New Year.
By price range, the proportion of products priced under 100,000 KRW rose by 18 percentage points from 62% last year to 80% this year. Products priced over 100,000 KRW decreased by 5 percentage points from 21% to 16%, those over 200,000 KRW dropped from 8% to 2%, and those over 300,000 KRW fell from 9% to 2%. The number of purchases of gift products under 100,000 KRW, mainly food items such as gim (seaweed), ham, and fruit gift sets, increased by 20% compared to last year's Lunar New Year.
