At the event, he expressed satisfaction with the SK Group's exhibition emphasizing 'Net Zero (carbon neutrality)'.
On the 6th (local time), Chairman Chey canceled his visit schedule due to his executive secretary testing positive for COVID-19, but made a surprise visit to the SK exhibition hall after receiving a negative rapid antigen test result.
At a press conference following the tour, he said, "How to reduce carbon emissions and technically solve it is always a topic we think about," and expressed satisfaction, saying, "It is meaningful and pleasing to have successfully presented various exhibitions on this." He added, "I hope many people take interest so that we can actively respond to climate change."
SK Group has set a roadmap to reduce 1% of the world's carbon reduction target. Following last year, they organized the exhibition hall again this year with the theme of Net Zero. His positive remarks indicate the exhibition was well received.
Regarding his first visit to CES since becoming chairman, he evaluated, "As I heard, the scale is quite large," and "I was able to see new technologies and concepts from various companies."
On how to respond to negative economic outlooks, he said, "We respond rather than predict or forecast the economy," and "We will prepare various scenarios and maintain readiness according to the situation." He also stated, "Regardless of economic fluctuations, we plan to steadily prepare for the future."

Regarding becoming a close contact due to his executive secretary's positive test the previous day, he said, "(My health condition is) fairly okay," and "Yesterday, when the schedule was canceled, I held several Zoom meetings."
