KORAIL decided to continuously improve vehicles and facilities and reinforce safety equipment to ensure railway safety. Furthermore, it emphasized that all employees should adhere to basic safety regulations and procedures in the new year to foster a safety-first culture.
At the ceremony, KORAIL President Na Hee-seung stated, "A painful reflection is needed on the consecutive serious disasters and railway accidents," and urged, "Let us devote all efforts to strengthening the safety management system for the public and employees."
