"Dongwon F&B Recalls Some HMR Products Due to 'Bacterial Test Failure'"
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Dongwon F&B is recalling some of its home meal replacement (HMR) products due to non-compliance with bacterial inspection standards.
According to a notice on Dongwon F&B's website on the 2nd, the company decided to recall some of the 'Sura Yangban Dogani Seolleongtang (460g)' products after receiving notification from the Busan Health and Environment Research Institute that certain items did not meet bacterial inspection standards.
The recalled products were produced at Dongwon F&B's Gwangju factory on October 14, 2022, with an expiration date of October 13, 2023. Consumers who purchased the products can receive exchange or refund information from Dongwon F&B's Customer Satisfaction Center.

Dongwon F&B issued an apology under the name of CEO Sungyong Kim, stating, "We will thoroughly re-examine the entire process to accurately identify the cause," and added, "We will take thorough corrective measures for any issues found in the future to ensure that the problem does not recur."
