Starting Next Year, Unconfirmed Civil, Administrative, and Patent Judgments Will Also Be Available for Online Viewing
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] From the new year, rulings on unresolved civil, administrative, and patent lawsuits will also be accessible online.
On the 30th, the Supreme Court's Judicial Administration Office announced that "with the expanded scope of ruling disclosures, the public's right to know will be more thoroughly guaranteed, and the transparency, fairness, and accountability of rulings will be strengthened," stating that the revised Civil Procedure Act containing these provisions will take effect on January 1st next year.
The "Ruling (Judgment) Internet Viewing System" allows all citizens to view rulings in PDF format through the Supreme Court's website. Personal information of the parties involved is anonymized.

Until now, only rulings on criminal cases finalized since 2013 and rulings on civil, administrative, and patent cases finalized since 2015 were provided, but starting next year, rulings on civil, administrative, and patent cases currently under appellate review (excluding small claims and summary dismissal cases) will be included in the disclosure scope.
