Jeon Gyeong-seon, Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member, Wins 'Best Award' at Legislative Policy Vision Awards

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeon Gyeong-seon, Vice Chairman of the Jeonnam Provincial Council (Democratic Party of Korea, Mokpo 5), received the Grand Prize at the ‘2022 Legislative Policy Vision Awards’ on the 29th.
The Yeouido Policy Research Institute has been holding the ‘Local Autonomy Evaluation Legislative Policy Vision Awards’ annually since 2017 to select outstanding council members who have implemented resident policies to revitalize local autonomy.
The institute reviewed and evaluated overall legislative activities, including committee activities, administrative audits, budget reviews, and resolving local civil complaints, and announced the final awardees on the 21st.
Vice Chairman Jeon received the Grand Prize three times in total, having won the ‘Excellence Award’ in 2018, the ‘Grand Prize’ in 2021, and this year’s ‘Excellence Award’.
Since 2018, Vice Chairman Jeon has served as a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Council for four years and six months. During the 11th term, she served as Chair of the Health, Welfare and Environment Committee and the Council Steering Committee, and in the current 12th term, she is serving as Vice Chairman of the Jeonnam Provincial Council, passionately engaging in legislative activities while continuously communicating with the residents.

Vice Chairman Jeon said, “It was possible to tirelessly run on the side of the underprivileged thanks to the support and encouragement of the residents,” and added, “I will continue to work hard to resolve residents’ long-standing projects and to contribute to Jeonnam’s future development strategy, better local autonomy, and residents’ happiness.”
