The number of new cases decreased by 79 compared to the previous day (87,596). It also dropped by 643 compared to a week ago on the 21st (88,160). The recent scale of confirmed cases has been showing a gradual increase or stagnation.
The number of critically ill patients currently hospitalized was 587, down by 5 from the previous day. The number of critically ill patients has remained in the 500s for 11 consecutive days.
There were 69 new COVID-19 related deaths reported. The cumulative death toll stands at 31,951, with a fatality rate of 0.11%.
