The Remote Internship is a program that utilizes the metaverse and educational platforms to allow students from regional hub universities to remotely experience real work and receive DT (Digital Transformation) competency training. It was recognized for helping to reduce regional educational disparities and promote youth employment.
The program was conducted twice this year, once in the first half and once in the second half, with a total of 520 students from nine regional hub universities participating.
CJ OliveNetworks enabled students to carry out project tasks through the metaverse communication service Bridge Office and provided basic education related to data and statistics as well as job-specific training for planners, marketers, analysts, and others. It also supported recruitment and psychological counseling through mentoring by field experts.
The 10 students selected as top participants will join a four-week on-site internship program, and CJ OliveNetworks plans to expand the number of participants in next year’s Remote Internship to 700.
