In October, the city formed the 'Korea Development Bank Busan Relocation Support Team' led by the Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs to support the relocation of Korea Development Bank to Busan. The team conducted a comprehensive survey on ▲relocation site and office building support ▲creation of residential conditions ▲education support for children of relocated employees ▲other administrative and financial support measures, proactively preparing for the relocation.
At the report meeting, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Seongkwon Lee and heads of related departments and bureaus, along with related organizations such as Busan Metropolitan Office of Education Nam-gu, Busan Urban Corporation, Busan Medical Center, and Busan Cultural Center, will attend to report on ▲the progress of Korea Development Bank’s relocation ▲institution-specific relocation support policies ▲discovery of support requests to central government ministries, and will focus on discussing effective support measures for the relocation.
Through this report meeting, the city plans to carefully examine the difficulties faced by Korea Development Bank and its employees relocating to Busan and prepare maximum support strategies for a smooth transition.
The prepared relocation support policies will be submitted to related organizations such as the National Assembly, Financial Services Commission, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and National Balanced Development Committee to inform them of Busan City's support for Korea Development Bank and to seek cooperation for the swift and complete functional relocation of the bank.
