DaATI, Wins Signal Equipment Construction Project for Wirye Line Tram
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] Daea TIAI announced on the 23rd that it has signed a contract worth 15.3 billion KRW with Hanshin Engineering for the signal construction of the Wirye Line urban railway. The contract period is until September 2025.
This is the first domestically introduced catenary-free tram system, operating on a 5.4 km section from Machon Station in Songpa-gu to Namwirye Station with 12 stations. Daea TIAI will undertake the task of supplying and installing the entire tram signal system, including control equipment, ground equipment, and onboard equipment.
Daea TIAI has established a railway traffic control center that integrates nationwide railway networks. It has experience in building the world's first LTE-R based KTCS-2 system applied to general and high-speed railway signal systems, as well as the LTE-R based KTCS-M system required for urban railway signal systems.

A Daea TIAI official stated, "By securing operational technology based on the tram signal solution developed with our own technology, we will lead the tram market to be introduced by various local governments."
