Kangwon Land Begins Construction of Additional Employee Dormitories in Gohan
300-Room Dormitory Next to Hambakgwan, Gohan-eup, Jeongseon-gun, Basement 1 Floor, 10 Floors Above Ground
Scheduled for Completion in April 2025, One Room per Employee Possible

Gangwon Land announced on the 22nd that it will implement the 'Gohan-eup Employee Dormitory Additional Construction Project' to operate the current employee dormitory, which is run as double occupancy, as single occupancy.
The additional dormitory construction project is scheduled for completion in April 2025. The total construction cost is 40.3 billion KRW. The building will have a total floor area of 14,571㎡, consisting of one basement floor and ten above-ground floors, and will include 300 single-occupancy rooms, 20 multipurpose rooms, and rest areas.
Lee Sam-geol, CEO of Gangwon Land, said, "Thanks to the efforts and great interest from the labor union and local community to improve employees' living conditions, we have been able to successfully commence the additional construction of the Gohan dormitory. Through the transition to single occupancy, shift workers will be able to enjoy better sleep and privacy, allowing employees to rest in a more comfortable environment."

Meanwhile, the Gangwon Land employee dormitory project in Taebaek, located in Hwangji-dong, Taebaek City, consists of 140 single-occupancy rooms and 3 seminar rooms. The design phase began in August, and the intermediate design is currently underway, with completion targeted for April 2026.
