View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Yeongam-gun announced on the 13th that from the 8th to the 9th, more than 30 people, including leading farmers and officials from the Agricultural Technology Center, participated in a ‘Fruit Tree Pruning Training’ held at a persimmon orchard farm.
Pruning is fundamental for fruit tree cultivation to manage tree vigor, aimed at producing high-quality fruit and reducing management costs.
This training was conducted to promote increased farm income by guiding efficient fruit set management and maintaining fruit quality. It also consisted of theoretical education and field practice to improve the quality of Daebonggam and Dan-gam, which are regionally specialized crops.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, “We plan to conduct additional pruning training in the future to enhance the quality of Daebonggam and Dan-gam, representative fruits of the Yeongam area,” adding, “We hope that the participants will play a role as promoters of proper pruning techniques within the region.”
