Hankichong, Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon Declared 'Heretic'... Expulsion to be Pursued
Acceptance of Idaewi Research Results... Final Decision on the 15th
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Ye-ju] The Christian Council of Korea (CCK) has decided to classify Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon, the senior pastor of Sarang Jeil Church, as a heretic and to proceed with his expulsion.
On the 7th, CCK announced that it resolved to expel Pastor Jeon and another pastor, based on the research results of the Committee for Countermeasures Against Heresy (CCH), which identified them as heretics.
The CCH expert committee reported that the claims and doctrines of Pastor Jeon and others are unbiblical and clearly heretical, and the full committee meeting decided to accept these research findings.
The final decision on the expulsion of Pastor Jeon and others will be made at the executive committee meeting scheduled for the 15th.

Additionally, at the executive meeting held the previous day, CCK decided to impose a three-year suspension of qualifications on Pastor Jeon. They also decided to implement a three-year administrative suspension of exchanges between Pastor Jeon’s affiliated denomination (The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Korea) and organization (Puritan Spiritual Training Center) and CCK.
