Chairman Kim Hyun-ki Delivers 'Red Cross Special Membership Fee' to Korean Red Cross Seoul Chapter on the 6th... Also Donates 'Christmas Seal Fund' to Seoul Branch of the Korean National Tuberculosis Association
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 6th, Kim Hyun-ki, Chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, participated in the year-end and New Year sharing culture by delivering the 2023 Red Cross special membership fee to Kim Heung-kwon, President of the Seoul Branch of the Korean Red Cross.
The funds raised from the Red Cross membership fees are used for domestic and international disaster relief projects, disaster safety education, provision of public medical services, and identifying and supporting vulnerable groups in welfare blind spots.
In particular, the Red Cross promptly provided relief meals and distribution to about 4,000 people and delivered 1,000 sets of emergency relief supplies during the heavy rain in the southern Seoul area last August, helping flood victims.
Chairman Kim Hyun-ki said, “At the end of the year and New Year, we tend to take more careful care of those who are marginalized around us,” adding, “Concrete acts of love are donations, and I will encourage active participation from citizens wherever I go so that love can be abundant everywhere during the cold year-end.”
On the same day, Chairman Kim Hyun-ki also delivered Christmas Seal donations to the Seoul Branch of the Korean National Tuberculosis Association.
