Daegu Dalseong-gun Designated as a Cultural City... Project to be Promoted with 20 Billion KRW by 2027

Dalseong-gun, Daegu announced on the 6th, "The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism selected six final cities out of 16 preliminary cultural cities that participated in the 4th Cultural City designation contest on the 5th, and Dalseong-gun was included among them."
Dalseong-gun, Daegu will secure a budget of 20 billion KRW, including up to 10 billion KRW in national funds, over the next five years to promote the cultural city project until 2027.
Cultural cities are designated under the Regional Culture Promotion Act and are cultural autonomy policy projects that lead social growth and development through the city's cultural plans.
Dalseong-gun, a mixed urban-rural city, aims to culturally resolve the issue of population outflow through the cultural city project, reflect Dalseong's unique characteristics, and realize the county government's goal of a "cultural tourism city where the fragrance of art flows," pursuing a modern cultural city full of joy in daily life where residents themselves realize cultural value.
