[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Samsung Seoul Hospital announced on the 6th that Professor Kang Won-ki of the Department of Hematology and Oncology received the '17th Kim Jin-bok Cancer Research Award.'
The Kim Jin-bok Cancer Research Award is presented annually by the Korea Cancer Research Foundation to domestic research papers that have achieved outstanding research results on cancer, in commemoration of the foundation's founder, the late Professor Kim Jin-bok, Emeritus Professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine.

In particular, he has continuously studied appropriate treatment methods after surgical treatment of gastric cancer patients and published the results in the world's leading oncology journals, internationally demonstrating the high level of domestic gastric cancer research.
