View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Despite challenging market conditions, domestic securities firms have strengthened their corporate finance (IB), custody capabilities, and customized wealth management (WM) competencies. They have also worked to provide balanced research materials and to evolve retirement pensions and mobile trading systems (MTS).
The judging panel compared and analyzed the public data submitted by securities firms and the evaluation materials prepared by Asia Economy’s staff across various sectors including IB, custody, WM, research, retirement pensions, MTS, and funds.
The grand prize was awarded to Mirae Asset Securities. It received excellent evaluations in each sector, with judges commenting that it was "well-structured and stable" and "inevitably eye-catching." In particular, in the asset management field, it established an asset allocation committee to systematically develop asset allocation and investment strategies, presenting suitable recommended products to investors.
Daishin Securities was selected as the Best in the IB sector. This year, it led 13 initial public offerings (IPOs), revitalizing the public offering market.
NH Investment & Securities was chosen as the Best in the newly established custody sector. It was recognized as the first in the securities industry to enter the custody business, implementing all necessary functions for fund custody including fund NAV calculation, verification, fund settlement, physical management, and operation monitoring.
Samsung Securities won the Best in WM (overseas) sector. It provides innovative services through the world’s first weekly trading of U.S. stocks. KB Securities received the Best in WM (domestic) award. It established the GWS headquarters dedicated to ultra-high-net-worth clients and launched the customer-centric premium comprehensive management brand KB GOLD&WISE the FIRST.
Korea Investment & Securities won the Best in Research sector. The research headquarters expanded the coverage of its AI research ‘AIR (Artificial Intelligence Research)’ to overseas stocks.
Hana Securities received the Best in Retirement Pension sector (DC-type highest yield) award. It recorded the highest long-term yield among all providers in the DC-type principal non-guaranteed category. Shinhan Investment Corp. won the Best in Retirement Pension sector (default option) award, demonstrating achievements by developing diverse content from the customer perspective and preparing products tailored to different preferences.
Kiwoom Securities was selected as the Best in MTS sector. Its MTS platform Hero Moon S# offers AI asset management and MyData services.
In the fund sector, Mirae Asset Global Investments was chosen as the Best Asset Manager. It ranked highest in total pension funds as well as individual pension funds and retirement pension fund custody assets.

The Best Fund awards went to KB Asset Management’s KB Active Dividend Fund, which recorded excellent returns since inception; Samsung Asset Management’s Samsung KODEX KOFR Interest Rate Active ETF, which has not experienced a single loss day since listing; and Korea Investment Management’s Korea Investment TDF Self-Directed ETF Focus Fund, which pursues maximized long-term investment returns.
