Im Sung-jae rose two spots from 21st to 19th in the men's golf weekly world rankings announced on the 4th (local time) with a score of 3.7725 points. The Hero World Challenge is not an official PGA Tour event, but it does award world ranking points. There were no changes in the top five: Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Scottie Scheffler (USA), Cameron Smith (Australia), Patrick Cantlay (USA), and Jon Rahm (Spain).
