On the 3rd, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that on the 2nd, they applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A on charges of causing death in a school zone and dangerous driving causing death under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes, as well as drunk driving.
Mr. A is accused of hitting and killing a third-grade student who was leaving school near an elementary school in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, at around 4:57 p.m. the previous day. At the time, Mr. A's blood alcohol concentration was reportedly at the license cancellation level (0.08% or higher).
