On the 2nd, the province announced that, in response to the weather forecast predicting a wind chill temperature dropping to minus 6 degrees Celsius, it decided to hold the indoor cheering event using the multipurpose gymnasium on the 2nd floor of the Sports Center.
The match can be watched on a separately installed 300-inch screen with cheering from the Red Devils Gyeonggi Branch. The multipurpose gymnasium can accommodate between 500 and up to 1,000 people.
As a cold wave countermeasure, the province will operate four cold-weather tents equipped with heaters and hot water containers at the Sports Center main entrance and the west side gates (1A, 1B) of Suwon World Cup Stadium.
Additionally, 1,000 hot packs and seat cushions will be prepared at the Sports Center main entrance and distributed to participants of the cheering event.
To prepare for any possible safety incidents, about 200 personnel including police, fire, security staff, Gyeonggi Province and Suwon City officials, and employees of the Gyeonggi World Cup Stadium Management Foundation will be deployed on site.
The Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters will also station four ambulances and one fire truck on site to respond to emergencies. The province will operate a comprehensive control room to oversee these efforts.
Those wishing to participate in the citizen cheering event can enter through the Sports Center main entrance starting at 10:00 PM, two hours before the match time, without any separate application procedure.
The province will assign staff to guide movement routes from the 1st floor lobby to the 2nd floor multipurpose gymnasium. Upon entry, items hazardous to safety such as alcoholic beverages and fireworks are prohibited.
After the match ends, exit will be through the Sports Center main entrance, the same as upon entry.
