The main contents of the business agreement include revitalizing support programs for the high school credit system, strengthening expertise in the high school credit system, and promoting exchanges with Gyeongbuk educational administrative institutions and high schools.
Through this business agreement, the nine universities?Kyungpook National University, Keimyung University, Kumoh National Institute of Technology, Daegu Catholic University, Daegu University, Daegu Haany University, Andong National University, Yeungnam University, and Handong Global University?will actively support the specialized human and material resources to general high schools in the Gyeongbuk area, contributing to a more stable establishment of the high school credit system in the field.
Additionally, by expanding the educational cooperation system, it plans to create an opportunity for mutual development between high schools and universities through nurturing outstanding talents.
According to this agreement, high school teachers in the Gyeongbuk area who teach subjects such as psychology, education, philosophy, and logic will enhance their expertise through 15 to 20 hours of training at universities, and subjects like health, computer science, AI, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution will be directly lectured to high school students online or offline by university professors or instructors.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to continue expanding training to strengthen teacher expertise through mutual cooperation with local universities and to expand the pool of instructors to activate the operation of joint educational courses.
Lim Jong-sik, Superintendent of Gyeongbuk Office of Education, stated, “Through this business agreement, we will activate a cooperative educational network among schools, the education office, and universities, and by establishing a regional joint educational ecosystem, we will actively promote the settlement of the Gyeongbuk-type high school credit system through a future-oriented educational cooperation model.”
