View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Tae-won] Atthaya Thitikul (Thailand), the 2022 LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year, and Park Min-ji (24), the 2022 KLPGA Tour money leader, will face off in Singapore this December.
The organizing committee of the Hana Financial Group Singapore Ladies Open announced on the 24th that "Thitikul and Park Min-ji, the 2022 KLPGA Tour money leader, will participate" in the KLPGA Tour season opener held next month in Singapore.
The 2023 KLPGA Tour season opener is the KLPGA Tour Hana Financial Group Singapore Ladies Open (total prize money of 1.1 million Singapore dollars). It will be held over three days from December 9 at the Tanah Merah Country Club in Singapore (par 72, 6,486 yards).
The tournament was originally scheduled to hold its first event in 2020. However, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is now hosting its inaugural event this year.
A total of 102 players will participate in this tournament, including the top 72 players from the KLPGA Tour and 30 players from the Asia-Pacific region.
Shin Ji-ae (34) and Patty Tavatanakit (Thailand), the 2021 LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year, are also expected to appear alongside Park Min-ji and Thitikul.

Meanwhile, the KLPGA Tour will also hold the PLK Pacific Links Korea Championship (total prize money of 700 million KRW) in Vietnam for three days starting December 16, the week immediately following this tournament.
