The 2nd Police Great Innovation TF General Meeting... Discussion on Improving Emergency Situation Reporting System
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Jo] On the morning of the 24th, the National Police Agency held the 2nd 'Police Great Innovation Task Force (TF) General Meeting' at the Seodaemun-gu office in Seoul, chaired by co-chairmen Changwon Lee, President of Hansung University, and Hyunbae Jo, former Commissioner of the Korea Coast Guard.
At this meeting, the TF reviewed the progress and achievements of the '9 Immediate Implementation Tasks' selected at the 1st meeting held on the 18th. The 9 Immediate Implementation Tasks include the creation of a crowd accident prevention manual containing type- and stage-specific crowd management guidelines that can be immediately utilized on-site when an accident is anticipated, and the activation of a mobile unit that can be directly commanded and operated by the 112 situation room chief.

The TF focused on discussing tasks related to improving the emergency situation reporting system and strengthening on-site response capabilities in high-density crowd risk situations among the immediate implementation tasks. Additionally, discussions continued on tasks requiring review, such as the autonomous police system and the reorganization of local police organizations. A National Police Agency official stated, "Internal and external TF members shared opinions from citizens and police regarding the promotion of the police great innovation," adding, "We plan to develop innovation promotion measures that resonate with the public and field police officers going forward."
