Gyeonggi Province announced on the 23rd that at the '10th Government-wide Public Data Utilization Startup Competition Championship' held on the 22nd and hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Kim Ha-yeon, recommended by the province, won the grand prize in the idea category for 'Nabi, a platform connecting local stores for healthy meals for food-insecure children.'
The Government-wide Public Data Utilization Startup Competition is a program designed to discover and foster ideas that solve social issues using public data and innovative business models.
'Nabi' is a platform app idea that connects food-insecure children with local stores by utilizing public data on child meal cards from Gyeonggi Data Dream (data.gg.go.kr) and the Public Data Portal (data.go.kr). It received high scores in creativity and social impact during the final evaluation by Gyeonggi Province.
'Nabi' allows food-insecure children to easily view and reserve meal support store information, while store owners who want to help can accept as many reservations as they wish. Additionally, general sponsors can directly support food-insecure children with desired menu items, creating a virtuous cycle through transparent sharing and immediacy.
Once the service is launched, it is expected to improve the quality and convenience of meals for food-insecure children, increase participation incentives for local store owners and sponsors, and foster a 'Nabi effect' of mutual growth within the community.
