‘Next Recap: Seoul’ is a conference that delivers the latest technology updates announced at Google Cloud’s annual technology conference, ‘Google Cloud Next,’ to Korean customers.
Jang Hwajin, President of Google Cloud Korea, introduced in the keynote speech how companies use Google Cloud to solve technological complexities and business challenges and prepare for the future. Customers from various industries, including Samsung Electronics, Wemakeprice, Kakao Brain, LG Uplus, Netmarble, and NCSoft, shared their digital transformation journeys with Google Cloud.
Wemakeprice recently started an infrastructure transition project to migrate all its systems from the data center (IDC) environment to a container-based Google Cloud environment using Google Kubernetes Engine. Google Kubernetes Engine supports redesigning all architectural elements to fit the cloud environment and enables convenient and stable operation of large-scale container workloads. Through this, Wemakeprice plans to improve development cycles and productivity and build a flexible operating environment that can quickly scale resources even during traffic surges, thereby strengthening its platform capabilities.
In the developer keynote, Eom Kyungsun, Head of Customer Engineering at Google Cloud Korea, announced 10 key outlooks presented at ‘Google Cloud Next.’ In the ‘Connect with Google’ session, Harim Group’s innovation case was introduced, showcasing how they enhanced productivity and collaboration in a hybrid work environment using Google Workspace.
Subsequent sessions were organized into four tracks focusing on ▲Data Cloud ▲Infrastructure Optimization ▲Cloud Security ▲Application Development and Modernization. Each track shared various Google Cloud products and technology updates, such as BigQuery, Vertex AI Vision, Dual Run, and Migration Center, along with customer cases.
President Jang Hwajin emphasized, “In the era of cloud computing, digital transformation has become a necessity, and interconnected open ecosystems have become the foundation of all businesses. Google Cloud’s open cloud is based on the belief that it should empower customers’ choices and be partner-centric.”
