World Cup 'Jipgwan'... Together with McDonald's
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] McDonald's is launching various menu items and promotions to captivate the World Cup 'home viewing crowd.'
According to the industry on the 23rd, McDonald's, the official sponsor of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, introduced a package menu called the 'Soccer Pack' available exclusively through delivery orders to coincide with the World Cup opening. The Soccer Pack is a delivery-only set consisting of the 'Pepperoni Pizza Burger,' which resembles a soccer ball, 6-piece McNuggets, and a limited edition 'Snack Ball Tin Case.'
McDonald's has infused World Cup spirit into every item in the Soccer Pack to make home viewing more enjoyable. The Pepperoni Pizza Burger included in the Soccer Pack is a limited edition menu item released last month to celebrate the World Cup season, featuring a soccer ball-shaped 'Soccer Bun' that clearly signifies it as a World Cup commemorative menu. The spicy and savory flavor combination of pepperoni and pizza sauce has made it a customer favorite, selling over one million units since its launch. The Snack Ball Tin Case is a ball-shaped container designed to hold McDonald's simple snack items. It includes various design elements that evoke the World Cup atmosphere, such as images of a soccer field and soccer cleats, as well as the official logo of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, sparking a desire to collect it.
