"The Season of Strawberries Returns" Emart Launches First Strawberry Event
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Emart announced on the 21st that it will launch a full-scale event to celebrate the return of strawberry season.
From the 24th to the 30th, Emart will sell 500g packs of Seolhyang strawberries at a promotional price of 11,900 KRW, discounted by 2,000 KRW from the regular price of 13,900 KRW when Shinsegae points are used.
In addition to the popular Seolhyang strawberry event, Emart will also offer premium strawberry varieties that have recently gained customer preference.
The ‘Sancheong Janghee Strawberry,’ known for its soft texture and high sweetness, and the ‘Geumsil Strawberry,’ which has a firm hardness and low acidity resulting in excellent sweetness, ranked first and second in premium strawberry sales, respectively. Therefore, the contracted farm supply has been increased by approximately 20% to 30% compared to last year.
Additionally, from the 24th, Emart will actively offer the ‘Kingsberry Strawberry,’ known on social media (SNS) for its large size and sweet taste, and the ‘Mannyeonseol Strawberry,’ characterized by its snow-white color.
Emart plans to further expand the range of premium strawberry varieties starting in December.
Currently being prepared are the ‘Mary Queen Strawberry,’ which boasts a crisp texture and soft sweetness; the ‘Arihyang Strawberry,’ known for its firm texture and sweet-tart flavor; and the ‘Smart Farm Seolhyang Strawberry,’ cultivated with cutting-edge technology to ensure consistent quality, allowing customers to enjoy a variety of choices.
