Beyonc? Receives Most Grammy Award Nominations in History
Adding Four More Trophies Makes Him the All-Time Top Award Winner
Beyonc? has been nominated for the most categories in the history of the 65th Grammy Awards. On the 15th (local time), at the nominee announcement event, she was named in nine categories for her album 'Renaissance' and the track 'Break My Soul.' These include the four major awards: 'Album of the Year,' 'Record of the Year,' 'Song of the Year,' as well as 'Best Dance/Electronic Music Album,' 'Best Dance/Electronic Recording,' 'Best R&B Song,' and 'R&B Performance.'
Beyonc? has set the record for the most Grammy nominations with a total of eighty-eight nominations throughout her career. Her husband and rapper Jay-Z also joined with five nominations this time, matching Beyonc?'s record. If Beyonc? adds four more trophies, she will claim the title of the most awarded artist in Grammy history. She currently holds twenty-eight trophies. The record for the most awards is held by Hungarian-born British conductor Georg Solti, who won thirty-one trophies as of 1997.
