On the 15th, the Seoul Seocho Police Station announced that on the 10th, Jeong was sent to the prosecution without detention on charges of false accusation and defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act. Jeong was a former business partner of Choi, the mother-in-law of President Yoon Seok-yeol.
In October 2020, Jeong raised allegations on YouTube broadcasts, including claims that First Lady Kim Geon-hee was 'Julie,' a hostess, and rumors of cohabitation with a married man. He also faces charges of false accusation related to disputes over claims that Choi fraudulently embezzled about 2.6 billion won.
In response, Choi filed a complaint against Jeong in July last year, accusing him of maliciously spreading false information involving family members through the media and YouTube since 2019.
A police official stated, "Jeong is believed to have broadcast without verifying facts and without objective evidence."

Meanwhile, Choi and Jeong were involved in civil and criminal lawsuits over the distribution of 5.3 billion won in investment profits obtained during the acquisition of a sports center in Songpa-gu, Seoul, in 2003. Choi accused Jeong of coercion regarding the agreement, and Jeong was sentenced to two years in prison by the Supreme Court in 2006.
