Damyang-gun Receives 'Innovation Champion Plaque' for Resident Life Innovation Case from Ministry of the Interior and Safety
Selected as an Excellent Case for Establishing an Unmanned Village Sharing Cafe for Resident Communication
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 14th, Damyang-gun, Jeonnam announced that it was selected as an excellent institution at the ‘2022 Resident Life Innovation Excellent Institution Certification Award Ceremony’ held at BEXCO in Busan and received the Innovation Champion Certification Plaque.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety annually selects innovative cases that need to be spread nationwide to discover and share innovation achievements of local governments, and awards the 'Innovation Champion Certification Plaque' to the selected excellent institutions.
This year, after screening and verification of 510 cases nationwide, 34 cases in 6 fields were finally selected.
Damyang-gun was selected in the field of resolving welfare blind spots with the ‘Establishment of an Unmanned Village Sharing Cafe for Resident Communication’ and is the only one among Jeonnam local governments.
The selected excellent case is the Village Sharing Cafe (Yongdam愛) located in Yong-myeon, which remodeled an old building and installed an unmanned beverage system inside the cafe to provide residents with a space for rest and communication.
