On the 12th, Miryang City successfully held the "2022 5th Miryang International Yoga Competition" at the Miryang Arirang Art Center, with 27 domestic and international teams participating in four categories, including a foreigner division.
Hosted by Miryang City and organized by Namu Yoga, this competition was held under the theme "The Meeting of Yoga, Health, Art, and Culture," consisting of category competitions, performances, and experiences. Winners for each category?Grand Prize, Excellence, and Merit?were selected by combining fair judging scores from the judges and viewer text vote scores conducted simultaneously via YouTube live broadcast.
The 27 teams participating in the competition received great applause for their passionate efforts in a fierce contest. Despite the close competition, the Grand Prize winners for each category were ▲ Solo: Lee Jin-hee ▲ 2-4 person team: Stella ▲ 5 or more person group: Hon ▲ Foreigner division: Son Hyo-cheon, showcasing outstanding skills that elevated the competition level and the beauty of yoga's essence.
Although the competition lasted for a long time, about 600 spectators filling the audience enthusiastically responded to the players' beautiful and astonishing movements, raising the atmosphere of the event. The addition of yoga myth musical drama, Chumnori performance, and fusion gugak (traditional Korean music) performances also heightened the audience's concentration.
