[Box Office] 'Black Panther 2' Sweeps 1st Weekend at No.1
Dominating with 79.9% Revenue Market Share
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Marvel's movie 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' topped the box office in its opening weekend.
According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system on the 14th, over the three days last weekend (11th-13th), 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' attracted 793,464 viewers, securing the number one spot at the box office. It was screened 30,496 times across 2,538 theaters, with a revenue share of 79.9%. Since its release on the 9th, the film's cumulative audience reached 1,086,881.
The movie is a blockbuster depicting the war for fate to protect Wakanda, which faces a great threat after T'Challa's death, and the birth of a new protector. Since its release, it has maintained the top box office position for five consecutive days, recording more than half of the total revenue, and surpassed one million viewers on the fifth day, gaining popularity.
The foreign film starring Yang Zichung (Yang Ja-kyung), 'Everything Everywhere All at Once,' drew 30,322 viewers to rank third, and the animation 'Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: The Riddle! Blossoming Tenkachip School' attracted 29,580 viewers, ranking fourth.
Additionally, Lee Sung-min's 'Remember' ranked fifth, the musical film 'Life is Beautiful' ranked sixth, and DC's 'Black Adam' ranked eighth.
