Fila Holdings, Global Organizational Restructuring..."Releasing Joint Products Worldwide"
Full-Scale Execution of Five-Year Strategy to Strengthen Global Product and Marketing Capabilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] FILA Holdings has announced new changes to its global organization at the group level.
FILA Holdings stated on the 8th that it has reorganized its global organization for sustainable growth. This reorganization was made to strengthen global organizational capabilities for the successful execution of the global 5-year strategy "Winning Together," announced last February. The plan is to consistently deliver unified brand products and marketing worldwide from global hubs.
Along with the announcement of the global 5-year strategy, FILA appointed Luca Bertolino, who has over 25 years of achievements in the sports and lifestyle sectors, as the Global Strategy Marketing Director. Bertolino is a key figure with expertise across major roles including strategy formulation, product development, demand forecasting, sales, marketing, and distribution strategy. Going forward, the global organization will be systematically operated under Luca's leadership.
The newly formed FILA global organization is under the overseas corporation "FILA Luxembourg," which owns the FILA global brand business rights excluding the Greater China region operated by Anta Sports. It centers on the "Futura Innovation Team," focused on innovation and sustainability under the goal of redefining brand value, and the "Design Team," which emphasizes product development to strengthen the global brand image.
Both global teams consist of key figures with decades of industry experience at leading global sports brands, playing pivotal roles in product and marketing aspects such as developing various signature items and successful branding.
The Futura Innovation Team has set three goals: △building brand momentum △advancing tennis-based products and marketing △leading sustainable management. To achieve this, they plan to specialize in developing footwear categories based on high technology and sustainability.
Michael Pivito leads the Futura Innovation Team. He worked at FILA in the early to mid-2000s, driving innovation, and later planned numerous functional shoe products across running, training, tennis, and outdoor categories at global sports brands such as Nike and Adidas. Until recently, he served as CEO of Blue Maka, a U.S.-based sustainable product manufacturer developing upcycled footwear midsoles and insoles. He joined FILA to contribute to its new leap forward by focusing on innovative product development.
David Bond was appointed to lead the design sector within the Futura Innovation Team. Bond planned Nike's Jordan brand and Under Armour's Curry series. He plans to dedicate himself to developing and expanding FILA's signature footwear lineup.
The "Design Team" is led by Torsten Hurshtiter, a designer who has achieved success as an industry leader across Asia, Europe, and the United States for 27 years. Under Torsten's leadership, the global design team is currently planning and designing various products under the global 5-year strategy and will unveil a new collection for the next fall/winter (F/W) season.
