KOTRA Opens Digital Export Path in US Silicon Valley
'K-Global@ Silicon Valley' Offline Event Held for Two Days Starting from the 7th
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Yeju] KOTRA announced on the 8th that it held 'K-Global@ Silicon Valley 2022' to support the global market entry of domestic digital companies in Silicon Valley, USA.
First held in 2012, this event, now in its 11th year, is a representative overseas project in the digital field called 'Export Plus' held in Silicon Valley. Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, organized by KOTRA and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency, it was attended by 30 domestic digital companies, global companies and investors, and 150 local US companies.
In particular, due to COVID-19, the event was held online for the past two years (2020?2021), but this year it was held offline in Silicon Valley for the first time in three years, raising high interest and expectations from domestic companies.
This year's event was designed to concretely realize President Yoon Seok-yeol's New York Initiative and the government's 'Korea Digital Strategy,' and to promote digital industry 'Export Plus' through programs such as export consultation meetings, ICT innovation forums, and startup pitching competitions.
