View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hee-jun] North Korea has been continuously condemning the Taeguk Exercise, which is conducted without troop mobilization, claiming that "the real purpose of the exercise is to complete preparations for a northern invasion war."
On the 8th, the external propaganda outlet Uriminzokkiri stated, "The enemy is trying to conceal the aggressive nature of the exercise and deceive the international community by saying that this exercise is a command post training using computer simulation without troop and equipment mobilization," adding, "Just because it is a computer simulation training does not mean its aggressive, offensive nature and risks disappear."
It continued, "The situation on the Korean Peninsula is currently at a hair-trigger level of tension," and said, "Nevertheless, seeing the 'Taeguk Exercise' being carried out without any concern clearly shows that the traitorous Yoon Seok-yeol faction is pursuing not the easing but the continuous and extreme deterioration of the situation on the Korean Peninsula, and furthermore, is eagerly looking for any opportunity to ignite the fuse of a northern invasion."
Uriminzokkiri also targeted the South in another commentary on the same day, calling them "completely crazy fools obsessed with confrontation and war," using vulgar language.
The outlet claimed, "There is no need to talk to these war maniacs, foolish and dull confrontation fanatics; the only right choice is to rule them by force," and added, "Through a strong counter-military operation against 'Vigilant Storm,' our military has already given a clear answer that the more persistent the enemy’s provocative military provocations are, the more thorough and ruthless our response will be."
Furthermore, it threatened, "Fire is controlled by fire, and when provocateurs point guns, we respond with cannons ? this is the traditional response method of our Republic," and warned, "Provocateurs and war fanatics who are sick from not being able to ignite the fire of war will clearly learn what a costly price their military provocations will pay and what the real taste of fire is."
On the previous day, North Korea also criticized the Taeguk Exercise through the external propaganda outlet Ryomyong, publishing a piece under the name of Choe Myung-gil of the National Reconciliation Council, stating, "The war exercises desperately carried out by the traitorous Yoon Seok-yeol faction are recklessly firing the black clouds of nuclear war over the Korean Peninsula, without exception, like madmen’s careless gunfire," condemning the Taeguk Exercise.

According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the '22 Taeguk Exercise,' which runs for four days from the previous day until the 10th, is conducted as a solo exercise for the first time in four years. It is a command post exercise (CPX) to prepare for various threats such as North Korea’s nuclear and missile capabilities, conducted through computer simulations and war games without mobilizing troops and equipment. Previously, North Korea had fiercely condemned the large-scale South Korea-U.S. joint air exercise 'Vigilant Storm,' held from the 31st of last month to the 5th, using all propaganda outlets, and had carried out provocations such as intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launches and artillery fire.
