Mugunghwa Train Derails at Yeongdeungpo Station... 25 Minor Injuries, 4 Transported to Hospital
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] At around 8:52 PM on the 6th, a Mugunghwa train derailed near Yeongdeungpo Station in Seoul.
According to Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail), at 8:45 PM that day, a train departing from Yongsan bound for Iksan derailed while entering Yeongdeungpo Station.
As a result of the accident, 25 out of 275 passengers sustained minor injuries. Among them, 4 were confirmed to have been transported to nearby hospitals. The remaining passengers moved to Yeongdeungpo Station under the guidance of Korail staff.
The accident temporarily halted operations on both directions of Subway Line 1. As of 10:50 PM, Line 1 is operating normally.
