Last month, Hyundai Motor Group operated a promotional booth for the Busan World Expo at the '8th Mozambique International Tourism Fair' (FIKANI) held in Maputo, Republic of Mozambique, showcasing Busan's competitiveness and future vision as a candidate city for hosting the 2030 World Expo.
At the event, Choi Won-seok, the Korean Ambassador to Mozambique, also attended and emphasized to key government officials including Filipe Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique, and Eldevina Materula, Minister of Culture and Tourism, that Busan is the optimal city to host the World Expo. He conveyed the public-private efforts and determination to attract the Busan World Expo.
Hyundai Motor Group is also enhancing synergy in its attraction activities by linking with new product launch events conducted at the global regional headquarters level and major international events held locally, actively fostering consensus for hosting the Busan World Expo.
Last month, at the '2023 VENUE' media presentation held in Cape Town, South Africa, Hyundai Motor Group screened a promotional video for the Busan World Expo and explained the vision of the Expo along with the unique differentiating points of Korea and Busan.
On the 25th of last month, at the official vehicle handover ceremony for the 'G20 Bali Summit' held in Jakarta, Indonesia, Hyundai Motor Group installed promotional banners for the Busan World Expo and placed informational brochures, focusing on creating a favorable local atmosphere for the Expo bid.
Hyundai Motor Group will support a total of 393 official vehicles, including the Genesis G80 electrified model and Ioniq 5, at the G20 Summit held in Bali, Indonesia, from the 15th to 16th of this month.
A Hyundai Motor Group official stated, "We are actively conducting support activities for attracting the Busan World Expo by fully utilizing Hyundai Motor Group’s strength in global regional headquarters," adding, "We will continue to promote attraction activities that can practically help secure votes based on the local networks established by each global regional headquarters worldwide."
Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Group, which formed the dedicated group-level task force 'Busan Expo Attraction Support TFT' in August last year?the first among domestic conglomerates?has also been actively supporting the creation of a domestic and international buzz for the Busan World Expo through official global SNS channels.
