Park Eun-shin and Hwang Jung-gon in Unison: "We Will Win"

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Taewon] Park Eun-shin (32) and Hwang Jung-gon (30) rose to a joint lead, entering a competition for their second win of the season.
On the 4th, at the Golfzon County Seonsan Country Club (par 72) in Gumi-si, Gyeongbuk Province, during the second round of the KPGA Korean Tour Golfzon·Toray Open (total prize money 700 million KRW), Park Eun-shin shot 4-under-par 68, bringing his total to 10-under-par 134, tying with Hwang Jung-gon for the lead.
Both Park Eun-shin and Hwang Jung-gon have recorded one win each this season.
Park Eun-shin showed excellent form, recording three consecutive birdies from holes 10 to 12. He said, "My condition is good in this tournament," adding, "Tomorrow, I will play aggressively. Winning my first title this year has boosted my confidence. I don't want to miss the chance to win."
Hwang Jung-gon, who secured his first win of the season and his third career victory at the Asia CC Busan Open in July, reduced his score by three strokes with six birdies and three bogeys.
Hwang said, "The cold weather made my body stiff, which made shots difficult, but I’m glad to finish the round as the leader," and added, "I have always performed well in the Gyeongsang region. I have high expectations for this tournament held in Gyeongbuk as well. I will aim for my second win of the season."
Lee Won-jun (Australia), who reduced his score by two strokes, rose to third place (9-under-par 135), one stroke behind. Moon Kyung-jun (40) and Kim Min-jun (32) are tied for fourth place, two strokes behind (8-under-par 136).
Prize money ranking leader Kim Min-gyu (21) combined one eagle, three birdies, and one bogey, placing him in a tie for seventh (7-under-par 137). Kim Seung-hyuk (36), who led the previous day with an 8-under-par round, lost one stroke and dropped to a tie for seventh place.
